History: Shree Amrat Bapa
Meldi Dham

The Divine Vision of Moti Khadol

Located on the serene stretch of the Mahudha-Dakor Road, the Shree Amrat Bapa Meldi Dham in Moti Khadol is not just a temple, but a spiritual beacon for thousands of seekers across Gujarat and beyond. This sacred site is dedicated to Maa Meldi, the protector of the distressed, and is forever illuminated by the spiritual legacy of Shree Amrat Bapa.

The Dham stands as a testament to the fact that where there is pure devotion, the Divine manifests. For years, the doors of this Dham have remained open to everyone, regardless of caste, creed, or status, offering a path to peace, healing, and spiritual awakening.

The Legacy of Shree Amrat Bapa

The history of this Dham is inseparable from the life of Amrat Bapa. Known for his simplicity, unwavering faith, and deep connection with Maa Meldi, Bapa spent his life in the service of the goddess and her children (the devotees).

Amrat Bapa’s teachings were never complex; they were rooted in truth, kindness, and complete surrender to the Divine Will. He believed that Maa Meldi is a “Hazra-Hazur” deity—one who is ever-present and listens to the smallest whisper of a sincere heart. It was Bapa’s spiritual “Tapa” (penance) and his pure heart that transformed Moti Khadol into a powerful “Shakti-Peeth” where miracles are a daily occurrence. Even today, his presence is felt in every corner of the temple, guiding devotees through their darkest times.

Maa Meldi: The Ruler of Kaliyug

In this Dham, Maa Meldi is worshipped as the “Raja of Kaliyug” (The Ruler of the Present Age). She is the one who fights the battles of her devotees when they can no longer fight for themselves. The deity at Moti Khadol is particularly known for resolving “Dev-Dukh” (spiritual or ancestral hurdles), providing protection against negative energies, and blessing the childless and the suffering.

The atmosphere during the Sunday Melas and Poonam is electric. Thousands gather to witness the “Aarti,” where the rhythmic sound of the drums and the fragrance of the incense create a bridge between the human soul and the Divine Mother.

Parcha: The Living Miracles

What makes Amrat Bapa Meldi Dham extraordinary are the Parchas (miracles). Over the decades, thousands have documented how their terminal illnesses were cured, lost family members were found, or impossible legal and financial burdens were lifted after visiting the Dham.

The Dham is famous for its “Nyay” (divine justice). Devotees believe that when one brings a problem to the threshold of Maa Meldi and Amrat Bapa with a clean heart, a solution is guaranteed. Whether it is through the “Vacha” (divine words) given at the temple or through a dream, the Mother always provides a sign to her followers.

Our Mission and Service

Today, under the guidance of the temple’s spiritual successors, the Dham continues the mission started by Amrat Bapa. Beyond daily rituals, the temple is involved in various Sewa (Service) activities:

  • Annakshetra: Providing “Prasad” and meals to every visitor so that no one leaves the Dham hungry.
  • Spiritual Guidance: Offering a space for meditation, prayer, and counseling for those in mental or emotional distress.
  • Preserving Tradition: Maintaining the ancient “Dakhla” and “Regdi” traditions of Gujarat, which are integral to the worship of Maa Meldi.
