Annakshetra Seva
The Divine Philosophy
In our ancient scriptures, Anna Daan (the donation of food) is hailed as the Maha Daan—the greatest of all charities. At Amratbapa Meldi Dham, we believe that no devotee should ever leave with an empty stomach.
“Aum Annapurnayai Namah – May no soul go hungry, and may every heart be filled with the grace of the Mother.”
Every single day, the Annakshetra hums with the sound of prayers and the aroma of fresh, satvic food. We serve hundreds of pilgrims, locals, and the underprivileged. The menu is simple, nutritious, and prepared with the utmost hygiene and devotion.

A Glimpse Into Our Daily Service
Our day begins long before the first ray of sunlight hits the temple dome. The Annakshetra is a hive of activity starting at 4:00 AM. Fresh vegetables are sourced from local farmers, grains are cleaned with meditative focus, and the cooking begins with the chanting of “Ma Meldi” mantras. We believe that the vibrations of the cook affect the quality of the food; therefore, every meal is prepared in a state of prayerful mindfulness.
We serve a complete *Satvic* meal consisting of freshly baked rotlis, aromatic dal, steamed rice, and seasonal vegetable preparations. For us, hygiene is next to godliness. Our kitchen is equipped with modern stainless steel appliances, yet we maintain the traditional taste that reminds every devotee of a home-cooked meal. Whether we are serving fifty people on a quiet weekday or five thousand during a festival, the quality and love remain unchanged.
Daily Prasad
Free meals served twice daily to all visitors, pilgrims, and local residents without any discrimination of caste or status.
Festival Maha-Prasad
Special feasts during Navratri, Purnima, and Amratbapa’s Jayanti, featuring traditional sweets and festive delicacies.
Narayan Seva
Outreach programs where food is packed and delivered to nearby shelters, orphanages, and those unable to travel to the Dham.
Satvic Quality
We use only the purest ingredients—pure ghee, organic grains, and fresh vegetables—to ensure the health of our devotees.
